Overview:
River
Valley Co-op's old area had a worn down feed mill with very little
storage capacity. They needed more grain storage and a faster
receiving system. The old area was in the way of new traffic flow.
Design
Specifications:
- First
part of a five step plan to increase storage capacities and improve
traffic flow during the busy harvest season.
- Added
350,000 bushels of storage with a 78' dia x 31 ring GSI commercial
grain storage bin.
- Added
a 15,000 bushel per hour receiving leg with a pit drag to feed
new bin.
- Added
a 10,000 bushel per hour reversing drag conveyor to tie new system
into existing concrete elevator.
- Setup
area to install future 90' dia x 31 ring (500,000 bushel capacity)
GSI grain storage bin.
