CR Conveying Inc. has fostered company growth from local work in Iowa, to a multi-disciplinary team of professionals offering service to a wide variety of industries throughout the United States and internationally. CR Conveying Inc. has been a go-to custom millwright and industrial maintenance partner for companies since 1991. Our expertise covers everything from material handling, design and fabrication to fast-response breakdown support. CR Conveying Inc. now occupies three shop locations  - Cedar Rapids & Urbana, Iowa; and Bardstown, Kentucky.

Dustin Choplick

President/Founder

Drew Choplick grew up in Cedar Rapids and began his millwright career in 1978. He quickly mastered the trade while building strong business relationships throughout Iowa. In 1991, Drew partnered with two others to form C R Conveying, Inc. (“CRC”). The company rapidly outgrew its original garage location, soon moving into a larger facility and eventually expanding to its current sites. Drew now serves as President of CRC, where his commitment to exceptional customer service and quality continues to drive the company’s success.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, golfing, and traveling.

Jamie is an Owner and General Manager of CR Conveying inc. Jamie leads with hands-on expertise and a commitment to quality, efficiency, and exceptional service. He has a strong background in operations, customer relations, management, and knowledge of the company. He continues to build a team that values integrity, innovation, and hard work. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, cheering on the Packers and spending quality time with his three children, family, and friends.”

Meet Dustin – Owner, Assistant General Manager, and Purchasing Manager with over 20 years of experience in construction and heavy equipment operation. He brings a strong background in agriculture and mechanical systems, with a genuine passion for understanding how equipment works. Dustin thrives in collaborative environments and enjoys helping others achieve their goals. Outside of work, Dustin enjoys golfing, attending Iowa wrestling meets, and spending quality time with his wife, two kids, family, and friends.

Andrew Vislisel (Andy)

Andy has been with C R Conveying since its founding in 1991. He was raised on a farm just outside Cedar Rapids, Iowa, he developed a practical, hands-on approach that has guided his career. He graduated with honors with a Mechanical Design Technologist degree and has applied that training to design and quote projects up to and exceeding $10 million. He takes pride in delivering projects that not only meet performance goals but also stand out for their appearance and durability.
 
At home, he has a wonderful family, a wife of 30 years and two daughters, both University of Iowa graduates, who enjoy traveling.

Daniel Lee Chase (Dan)

With over 39 years of experience as a Millwright Dan has done everything from nuts and bolts to design, Assistant Site Manager to Department Manager, Quality Control to Safety Manager.

Dan Has certificates for: Certified Safety Manager for General Industry (CSM), Certified Safety Manager for Construction (CSMC), Certified Rigging inspector, Certified Rigger and Signal Person Trainer and now certified to do Reasonable Suspicion Training for Supervisors.

Dan’s ESMS training (Ethical Decision Making in Safety Management Specialist) fuels the need to keep CR Conveying up-to-date on safety training, to keep the employees safe and the clients happy with our safety ethics.

When not at work Dan likes spending time traveling with his wife and daughter, hunting, fishing and running a railroad empire in his basement.

With 28 years of experience at C R Conveying, Okee brings a strong work ethic and practical know-how that comes from being raised on a farm. He takes pride in making sure projects come in on time and under budget.

When he’s not at work, Okee enjoys spending time with his wife of 30 years, their four kids, and three grandkids. His free time is filled with hunting, golfing, fishing, hiking, and coaching football.

With 27 years of experience, Tanya McAfee is the heart of C R Conveying’s accounting operations. She handles billing, timecards, and—perhaps most importantly—keeps the guys in line by making sure all their paperwork gets turned in on time. Her attention to detail and upbeat personality helps keep everything running smoothly.​

When she’s off the clock, Tanya loves spending time with her family, friends, and her loyal sidekick Macie, the office dog.

With 18 year’s experience Charisse keeps things running smoothly at CR Conveying as the Office Manager. She specializes in payroll, accounts payable, and manages company finances with precision and care. Known for her friendly and reliable approach, Charisse is the go-to person for keeping everything on track behind the scenes.

Outside of work, Charisse enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and their two dogs. She loves tending to her chickens and unwinding with a nice glass of wine while watching her favorite murder mysteries.

Kyle Mortenson

Kyle has been with C R Conveying for 9 years, but didn’t start as the Shop Supervisor. He began his career with the company as shop hand, gradually advancing to Fabricator and eventually to his current role as Shop Supervisor. Kyle discovered his knack for welding with classes in high school and went on to further his skills at Tulsa Welding School. With his hands-on experience, Kyle is your go-to for all things related to the shop and metal fabrication.

Kyle enjoys the outdoors— hunting, fishing and loving everyday. But above all else, cherishes time with his family; wife Jess, son Bo and daughter Emmy.

When he is not on the job, he enjoys hunting, fishing, working on hands-on projects, and spending time with his wife and our four kids.

With 6 years of loyal service, Macie takes her role as Chief of Security very seriously — even if she only stands a few inches tall. This Papillon-Chihuahua mix keeps a sharp eye (and sharper ears) on everything happening around the office. When she’s not on patrol, you can usually find her attending meetings, offering moral support, or subtly hinting that snack time should really be all the time. Macie keeps the team smiling and the workplace safe — one treat at a time.
